Hi, I’m Heather

Jewelry has always been about stories for me: the story of a piece, place, or special moment that can become part of life’s tapestry through wearable art. I love finding vintage or unused pieces and re-styling them so they have a cherished place in modern wardrobes. Some of my favorite designs are custom pieces that incorporate natural elements from a special area, or family heirlooms that have been redesigned. In this way, the sacred can become incorporated into everyday and a spirit of place is always with us. I search for broken watches, forgotten brooches, and other treasures destined to be melted down and try to see them not for what they are, but for what they could be. My hope is that a MIAZ piece speaks to you and becomes part of your life and legacy.
